Haynes-IMG_3060-2Beverly Armstrong, JD-MBA, is Chairman/CEO & Brewmaster of Brazo Fuerte Artisanal Beer, a craft brewing company based in New England. Ms. Armstrong has 19+ years of experience in finance, operations, law and in advising companies in the healthcare, high-tech and biotechnology industries. Prior to Brazo Fuerte, Ms. Armstrong served in senior management/executive roles within the biotechnology industry, including CFO, CCO, GC, and VP Operations/Administration. Prior to becoming a biotech executive, Ms. Armstrong advised companies in legal, business and operational matters while at Mintz Levin, a premier Boston-based law firm. Ms. Armstrong started her career in finance at Morgan Stanley & Co., an investment banking firm. In addition to The Alliance for Business Leadership, Ms. Armstrong serves on the board of directors of the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare, the Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization, the US Womens Rugby Foundation and other not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Armstrong received her AB in Economics and Government from Harvard University, an MBA from Harvard Business School and a JD from Harvard Law School. Ms. Armstrong was also named to the Boston Business Journal’s list of “40 Under Forty” leaders in the Boston business community.

Ms. Armstrong played rugby for Beantown RFC for almost 15 years and continues to play recreationally. In her rugby career, Ms. Armstrong has played with the Northeast Rugby Union (NRU) Select Side 15s and 7s teams, been a member of the US Women’s National Team player pools in 15s and 7s and toured internationally with the Atlantis 7s Rugby select squad.
