Bianca Sigh Ward
Vice President for Partnerships
Bianca Sigh Ward joined the Alliance as Vice President for Partnerships in 2017. She is an experienced professional with unique insight into the Boston civic, legal, and art communities. After working at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, raising corporate funds for the institution and expanding the MFA’s international reach through Governor Deval Patrick’s 2011 Innovation Economy Trade Mission to Brazil she went on to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts to work with emerging artists, where her passion for relationship building grew. Bianca played a lead role in organizing the SMFA’s annual fundraiser, The Medal Award Gala in honor of renowned artists like Moroccan-born photographer Lalla Essaydi and African-American conceptual artist Glenn Ligon. In 2015 she was appointed to the BostonCreates Leadership Council, a group of diverse civic leaders with a passion for Boston’s cultural and creative life, where she served as an advisor, helping to shepherd Boston’s cultural plan into implementation. She previously worked as a paralegal at Nystrom Beckman & Paris LLP, a thriving litigation boutique located in Boston’s Innovation District, with deep experience in complex business cases and virtually all types of sophisticated litigation. In addition to serving on MassEquality’s Political Action Committee, the leading statewide grassroots LGBTQ advocacy organization, Bianca is also an active member of the board for the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities. She is a graduate of Bowdoin College with a Bachelor’s degree in Art History. Bianca and her husband, John, reside in Jeffries Point, East Boston with their two sons.
