Who will lead the nation on advancing women’s role in the workplace?  There’s no debate about whether we should move forward, or even how to do it. Yet, nationally, the number of women Directors on Boards and the size of the gender wage gap are essentially unmoved.  Can a critical mass of CEO’s and leaders create a tipping point to break through the barriers, clear the path and get the job done first in Massachusetts?

Governor Deval Patrick joins with the Alliance to convene Clearing the Path, an invitation-only discussion among prominent CEO’s on June 11 to galvanize action.  Alliance leaders Trish Karter, founder of Dancing Deer Baking Company, and Jim Roosevelt, CEO of Tufts Health Plan, lead a stellar group of sponsors calling for top-level business leaders to gather in an intimate setting at MIT to explore how we can help more executives embrace gender diversity and clear the path for women in business.  Professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter of Harvard Business School will moderate.
