About Lawrence Leads
At ABL Leader Lab 2017, Mayor Dan Rivera spoke about the successes and potential of the City of Lawrence, and headlined a working session o how to bring the economic growth of Greater Boston to his city.. After the event, our team worked with the Mayor’s Office, The Lawrence Partnership, and our membership to keep the conversation going … ultimately turning ideas into action.
The result is the Lawrence Leads program, a collaboration between The Alliance for Business Leadership and The Lawrence Partnership that invests in a cohort of 30 Lawrence leaders as a key investment strategy for the city of Lawrence and its future.
Through classroom and field learning, the program combines the academic rigor of Harvard Business School with experiential learning opportunities in Lawrence and Boston. The core content helps participants develop skills to better position their businesses and organizations for growth and aims to develop leaders with increased capacity for social and corporate responsibility who can assume greater leadership at the community level. The development of a network—within the cohort, as well as with other key leaders in the Lawrence and Boston business and civic communities—furthers the ability of program participants to effect change.
