Alex Richman joins the Alliance as a Senior Advisor after serving as Interim President in 2019. With more than a decade of experience working on mission-focused, highly visible projects in and around Boston, Alex is a long-time supporter and partner of the Alliance, and in 2018, helped lead the Alliance’s successful study trip to Mexico City. 
Alex spent the first nine years of his career working for Governor Deval L. Patrick. He served in a variety of senior roles for the Governor, including as a member of his Senior Staff, as the developer of international trade missions for the state, and working at the Massachusetts Port Authority. In 2015, Alex was a member of the founding staff of HUBweek – a civic collaboration and festival founded in partnership by Harvard, MIT, Mass General Hospital, and The Boston Globe – a project he still advises and consults for today.  
Alex holds a BA from Hamilton College and is an active board member and advisor to multiple local nonprofit organizations. He resides south of Boston with his wife and daughter.
