Principal, Waterville Consulting
Sean Curran is the Principal of Waterville Consulting, a public affairs and government relations firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. Sean is a dedicated civic leader, serving as Chairman of the Board for College Bound Dorchester, one of the City of Boston’s largest community based organizations, creating a path to college for the most disengaged young people in the city. Sean has also served as the Chairman of the Deval Patrick Committee.
In 2012, Governor Deval Patrick installed Sean as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts liaison to the White House Office of Public Outreach, a post he served through 2013. Sean also serves on the boards of two influential business organizations in the Commonwealth: The Alliance for Business Leadership, a group of CEO’s that believe that progressive social and economic policy create a stronger Commonwealth; and MassInc, the leading bi-partisan think tank in Massachusetts.
Motivated by the life of his sister who had Down Syndrome, Sean undertook the production of a documentary film that focused on the dearth of resources available to young adults with disabilities that live below the poverty level. That film, “Best Kept Secret” was awarded the George Foster Peabody award for best documentary in 2013.
Sean is very active in Democratic politics in the Commonwealth and his office is a frequent stop for sitting and aspiring officeholders from city councilors, to state legislators, members of congress, and candidates for President.
He attended Boston College High School and Boston College and resides with his wife Kelly and sons Michael, John and Christopher in Sudbury, Massachusetts.
